Serenity
by the Sea is an informal gathering space perfect for friends wanting
a special time together, and for those seeking to add a new spark
to work they do together in an office or project.
The experience we
have in leading our own groups gives us a unique ability to anticipate
the needs of your group. If you wish, we can help prepare a program,
in whole or in part, to ensure you and your group get the most from
your visit here. |

OUR
MEETING FACILITIES
An
intimate Meeting Facility for small groups wanting to work, create,
or play together around a focus. Optimum group size is 8-10. Minimum size
5. Maximum is 12.
The
main gathering area is the Sunrise Suite.
It is18'x 18' with a private entrance and a high vaulted ceiling. It is
complete with a sound system, a raised platform, and a glass-fronted woodstove.
An
optional gathering space is the common area at seaside on the lower level.
VCR,
monitor, stereo system and flip chart are available.
| Accommodation.
There is shared accommodation in Windsail
Room and the Seaview Haven Chalet.
Wholesome vegetarian fare featuring a colourful and innovative,
garden-inspired cuisine. Three meals daily
Washrooms.
2 baths, 2 showers, 4 toilets. Our tub
on the cliffside is a favourite and sits by the waterfall at
high tide, open to moon, vistas and the elements!

Activities. In addition to the walking, swimming and kayaking
available at Serenity, Galiano
Island offers other activities for your group to enjoy: ridge
walking, cycling, horse riding, diving, ocean kayaking and sailing. |

Expansive.
The bright expansive spaces of Serenity by
the Sea kindle the enthusiasm of visitors and encourage openness
to new ideas and experiences. As it is also a home it offers
a unique sense of intimacy and safety.
Treat
for the Senses. The
unique design of the multi-levelled main structure invites
adventure. Each room has a distinct character and offers views
of sea or forest. There are sweeping panoramas of ocean and
islands.
Waterfall
Garden. A reflecting pond and creekside garden
set a meditative tone in summer. Flowers and ground cover
cascade over rocks while cedars and fir trees tower overhead.
In winter the water garden transforms into a boisterous tumble
of 7 waterfalls and whirling pools, cascading finally around
a cliffside tub to the surf.
Natural
Setting. (Our
guests say it all!) Nestled
like a jewel between forest and sea Serenity is blessed with
myriad gifts of Nature: silence, overlaid with the sounds
of creek and the surging seas, fragrance from forest and garden;
visits from otters, seals and mink, herons and eagles. In
the evening the colours of sunset soothe the soul, and at
night...stars!

Use
of the main facility* - $310/day;

of the main facility and Seaview Haven Chalet* - $485/day
(Including the above and the Seaview Haven Chalet)
Catered Meals:
- $40 per person per day
(gourmet vegetarian cuisine including breakfast,
lunch, dinner, snacks and refreshments)
Note:
Meals and accommodation
are complimentary for the coordinator
* Your hosts will be on the premises throughout to support the workshop/seminar
in whatever way may be required. |
| RESERVATIONS
Secure your
dates with a $310 non-refundable deposit, plus $100 for each day
scheduled above 3 days.
Full payment
for the facilities and catering must be received 3 weeks before
the starting date of the workshop.
CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event that the reservation must be cancelled,
refunds will be made only for amounts received in excess of
the non-refundable $310 deposit):
at least 30 days'
notice -- full refund
at least 2 weeks' notice -- 50% refund
with less
than 2 weeks -- no refund |
